Technology Lesson Plan

The lesson plan assignment's purpose was to create a fully planned lesson plan involving technology to accomplish the objectives set. The lesson plan included three objectives, an assessment, an example of a student product, a list of materials, procedures, and the content standards met in the lesson created. The lesson plan should be able to effectively be used in a classroom to teach a relevant lesson to the age group chosen in the lesson plan. I chose my lesson to be an art lesson about basic color theory to be taught to second graders. I used Comic Life 2 to create a poster about either primary or secondary colors, with at least three examples of each color taken from online sources.

NETS-T Standard

NETS-T Standard 2, "Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments." This standard is described as being when "teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS-S." The lesson plan I chose takes a lesson that is usually done within a basic color wheel lesson, where students either draw and color or color in a print out of a six color wheel. My lesson plan uses digital age learning with digital tools and resources by using Comic Life 2 to create a poster that students create by applying a color theory concept and the internet to find real life examples.
